How to Become an Opay Agent in Nigeria

If you are interested in becoming an Opay agent in Nigeria, here are the steps you need to follow:

1. Download the Opay app from Google Play Store and install it on your Android phone. You will need a valid phone number to complete the installation.

2. Open the Opay app and create an account with your personal details. You will also need to verify your identity by uploading a photo of your ID card (national ID, voter's card, driver's license, or international passport) and a selfie.

3. Tap on Account and tap on your current KYC level just below where your name appears on the app. Then click on Upgrade to agent.

4. Fill out the agent application form with your business details, such as business name, address, location, type of business, bank account details, etc. You will also need to upload a photo of your business location and a utility bill or rent receipt as proof of address.

5. Submit the application and wait for approval from Opay. This may take up to 24 hours or more depending on the volume of applications.

6. Once approved, you will receive a confirmation message from Opay and your KYC level will change to Agent. You will also receive an email with your agent ID and login details for the Opay agent portal.

7. Log in to the Opay agent portal with your agent ID and password. Here you can view your dashboard, transaction history, commission reports, wallet balance, etc.

8. To start performing transactions as an Opay agent, you will need to fund your Opay wallet with cash. You can do this by depositing cash at any Opay office or partner bank, or by transferring money from your bank account to your Opay wallet using the app or USSD code *955#.

9. To withdraw cash from your Opay wallet, you can either transfer it to your bank account using the app or USSD code *955#, or request for a POS machine from Opay and use it to dispense cash to customers or yourself.

10. To request for a POS machine from Opay, you will need to have a minimum balance of N20,000 in your Opay wallet and a minimum monthly transaction volume of N1 million. You will also need to pay a refundable security deposit of N10,000 for the POS machine. You can request for a POS machine by filling out a form on the Opay agent portal or by contacting the Opay support team.
